The Kenryk Series: The Rise of the Emoryk #2 Cover Reveal

It is finally here! The cover of my upcoming sequel to The Kenryk Series: The Avaris. When I initially started writing this series, it was supposed to be a standalone. Since the time I wrote books as a child, I had never written a trilogy before. In 2016, I wrote the first book, and years followed of revision after revision of each book.

You'd be surprised to know the third book has already been written and finished. In fact, the entire series was completed before I even attempted self-publishing. So, it has been an interesting end to May. I paid for one of those book ad places and ran an Amazon ad at the same time. I don't know which of the two worked, but I was selling a book every day and I even improved my overall ranking on Amazon.

You will remember, that I stopped caring about the ranking. I feel like concerning myself with my rank is overlooking all those individuals out there who have taken a chance on my book and bought it. I celebrate every sale because I went into this thinking no one would buy the books anyway.

Now, back to the sequel. If you have not read the first book- spoiler alert!- don't read any further. Book 2 follows Amari and her circle of friends as she navigates her new life as a Kenryk. All I can say is culture shock. The one thing you will find in all my books is characters that are confronted by real mental health issues one would encounter when their whole life has been altered. I know, YA is about romance and love triangles! Yet, I wanted to write a book that I think most of us can relate to. We have lived through two years of a life-altering pandemic, we're mentally, physically, and financially exhausted. There is no sudden miracle that is going to solve everything.

I take that approach with my books. No one is coming to save you, but you can save yourself because all the power is within you. You may lean on people for help, but ultimately, you need to find yourself again and find that passion you had for things before your life changed.

Of course, with Korin around, expect fireworks, laughter, and quips. Books are meant to help us escape, take us to other lands, and distract us from our true existence. However, books are also meant to help you find that one character you can relate to who helps you overcome something you never even knew you were struggling with. Books should take you on an emotional journey. You must escape yet it still has to be people with emotions that you read about.

I know, we have all lived through the era of the knight riding in shining armor to save us. You know, those scenarios when just as everything is about to fall apart, someone arrives and saves the day. What if that someone was us? What if in that perilous moment when we're facing that moment where everything could go wrong you arrive, your own knight in shining armor to save yourself?

You're your own hero.

Don't forget to pre-order the book here on Amazon. The book goes on sale on 26 August 2022. P.
